Assigning Company Types

This article will walk you through how to change the Type for companies.

Adding a Type to a company (or contact) is an important part of keeping our data in HubSpot clean and concise.

1. If you create a company or have been assigned a task to add a type for a company, you are required to fill out the Type field

2. You can navigate to the Companies tab

3. Click into the company you need to add the Type for 

4. On the left-hand side, the first option under About this company is Type

5. From the dropdown, select the appropriate type for the company

There is also an option for Delete if the company needs to be removed, but this is rare.

6. Once you select the type, HubSpot will automatically save
