Assigning Company Types

This article will walk you through how to change the Type for companies.

Adding a Type to a company (or contact) may seem redundant, but it's an important part of the ongoing cleanup process in HubSpot.

1. If you create a company, or have been assigned a task to add a type for a company, you are required to fill out the Type field. 

2. You can navigate to the Companies tab or your task list under Sales

3. Click into the company you need to add the Type for 

4. On the left-hand side, scroll down until you see Type

5. From the dropdown, select the appropriate type for the company

There is also an option for Delete, if the company needs to be removed

6. Don't forget to hit the orange Save button!
