Save Lead & Account Searches (& filter combinations to try)

This article will show you how to save a search on LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Saved searches on LinkedIn Sales Navigator are useful for a couple of reasons:

  • They save time & prevent you from having to recreate the search every time you log on
  • You can set up weekly email alerts about new results for each of your saved searches
  • You can combine multiple filters based on personal or organizational parameters to identify the highest-quality accounts/leadsLISN 2

To save a search in Sales Navigator:

  1. On the Sales Navigator Home page, click 'Lead filters' or 'Account filters'.
  2. Refine your search by adding or removing filters that are available within the screen. These search results will be updated in real time. 
  3. After you have fine tuned your search to view the results that you need, click Save search available in the bottom left corner and name your search. 
  4. Finally, make sure your Saved Search Email Alerts are on by clicking your profile picture in the upper right corner > click Settings > scroll down to Email preferences.

After your have saved a search, you can perform the following tasks:

  • Run the search again at a later point in time
  • Edit the name of the search
  • Share the search with your colleagues
  • Save a new search based on this search

Find your high priority accounts/leads with these filter combinations:

  • Size of prize: If you're prioritizing based on size, apply Annual revenue, Company headcount, or Department headcount to find the largest opportunities.
    • e.g. Annual revenue > $500million + Company headcount of 501-1,000 and 1,001-5,000 + Buyer intent is Moderate-high intent
  • Recent growth: To highlight accounts with recent growth, apply Headcount growth, Department headcount growth, or Funding event (within Recent Activities).
    • e.g. Company headcount growth > 25% growth + Human Resources Department headcount between 1-10
  • Recent change: To highlight leads who have gone through a recent change in company or job title, apply Changed jobs in last 90 days (within Spotlights > Activities and shared experiences), Current or Past job title, or Years in current company or position
    • e.g. Changed jobs in last 90 days + Current job title (e.g. Senior Director of Total Rewards)
  • Buyer intent: Leverage Buyer intent to find accounts that have shown an interest in your company or Technologies used to find companies that use tech relevant to your offering. For leads, apply Viewed your profile in last 90 days, or Account has buyer intent
    • Viewed your profile in last 90 days + Seniority level (e.g. Manager - CXO)

 

Lastly, it's important to know that with our Sales Navigator license, you can only save a total of 50 lead searches and 50 account searches.
