Manually log a call (via App or Desktop)

This article will show you how to manually log a call in the HubSpot App or Desktop.

The easiest way to log a call is through the HubSpot app, which we discuss below. To learn how to manually log a call on desktop, click here

First, navigate to the specific contact record you want to call, and once the call is done, HubSpot will automatically direct you to the call log.

Use top button to call.

press call 2

Phone number will appear at bottom. Click the button to begin calling. Phone number will appear again via your phone.

After the call has ended, HubSpot will direct you to a new call log. This is where you should record the call outcome, and leave any relevant notes for your sales rep. 

Logging a call on desktop 

  1. Navigate to your Contacts - In your HubSpot account, navigate to ContactsContacts.
  2. Click the name of the record.
  3. In the left panel, to log a note, click the description Note icon. To log a call, meeting, or email, click the ellipses icon, then select Log a call, Log a meeting, or Log an email.

When logging a call:
    • To categorize the call's outcome, click the Call outcome dropdown menu
    • To categorize the goal of the call, click the Type dropdown menu to categorize the call's goal. Learn how to create call types.
